February 3, 200422 yr For those who remember, FSLaunch started as faster way to connect to VATSIM.However, from version 1.3 the program is useful even without multiplayer, you can launch Flight Simulator, skipping the create flight dialog with the settings you specify. The only complicated step that remains is having to create gates file for every airport. But afterwards, you can use the new features such as Gauges On Demand (which move the gauges your current airplane is not using) and Aircraft On Demand (Disable all aircraft other then yours). This allows you to have many aircraft, without effect on loading times. Also, you can start your airplane with engines off or cold and dark. This works with any airplane.Like the previous versions, you can also have the program connect you to VATSIM automatically. To see what it looks like:http://www.centralgaming.net/FSLaunch.jpgAnd to try out the program:If you do not have .NET Framework 1.1:http://msdn.microsoft.com/netframework/tec...et/default.aspxIf you have .NET Framework 1.1, just download away:http://www.centralgaming.net/FSLaunch13.zipThe program is not final (it worked fine for me), please report any bugs you find. Such as required gauges being moved, crashes etc.
May 2, 200422 yr I just tried this tonight Moshe, and every time I try to close the program, I get the error window with the following in it: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.************** Exception Text **************System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path "C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9gaugesFSLaunch". at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String str) at System.IO.Directory.InternalGetFileDirectoryNames(String fullPath, String userPath, Boolean file) at System.IO.Directory.InternalGetFiles(String path, String userPath, String searchPattern) at System.IO.Directory.GetFiles(String path, String searchPattern) at CSFSLaunch2.MainForm.OnRestoreClick(Object sender, EventArgs e) at CSFSLaunch2.MainForm.OnFormClosing(Object sender, CancelEventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnClosing(CancelEventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WmClose(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)************** Loaded Assemblies **************mscorlib Assembly Version: 1.0.5000.0 Win32 Version: 1.1.4322.573 CodeBase: file:///c:/windows/microsoft.net/framework/v1.1.4322/mscorlib.dll----------------------------------------FSLaunch Assembly Version: 1.3.0.0 Win32 Version: 1.3.0.0 CodeBase: file:///C:/Program%20Files/FSLaunch/FSLaunch.exe----------------------------------------System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 1.0.5000.0 Win32 Version: 1.1.4322.573 CodeBase: file:///c:/windows/assembly/gac/system.windows.forms/1.0.5000.0__b77a5c561934e089/system.windows.forms.dll----------------------------------------System Assembly Version: 1.0.5000.0 Win32 Version: 1.1.4322.573 CodeBase: file:///c:/windows/assembly/gac/system/1.0.5000.0__b77a5c561934e089/system.dll----------------------------------------System.Drawing Assembly Version: 1.0.5000.0 Win32 Version: 1.1.4322.573 CodeBase: file:///c:/windows/assembly/gac/system.drawing/1.0.5000.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/system.drawing.dll----------------------------------------Microsoft.DirectX.DirectPlay Assembly Version: 1.0.1901.0 Win32 Version: 5.3.0000001.1126 built by: DIRECTX CodeBase: file:///C:/Program%20Files/FSLaunch/Microsoft.DirectX.DirectPlay.DLL----------------------------------------Microsoft.DirectX Assembly Version: 1.0.1901.0 Win32 Version: 5.3.0000001.1126 built by: DIRECTX CodeBase: file:///C:/Program%20Files/FSLaunch/Microsoft.DirectX.DLL----------------------------------------AMS.Profile Assembly Version: 1.0.1391.21464 Win32 Version: 1.0.1391.21464 CodeBase: file:///C:/Program%20Files/FSLaunch/AMS.Profile.DLL----------------------------------------Microsoft.VisualC Assembly Version: 7.0.5000.0 Win32 Version: 7.10.3052.4 CodeBase: file:///c:/windows/assembly/gac/microsoft.visualc/7.0.5000.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/microsoft.visualc.dll----------------------------------------************** JIT Debugging **************To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for thisapplication or machine (machine.config) must have thejitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. The application must also be compiled with debuggingenabled. For example:<configuration> <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" /></configuration>When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exceptionwill be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machinerather than being handled by this dialog.
May 2, 200422 yr Wow, talk about replying to old threads. This is a bug, but for a work around if you don't use Gauges On Demand (which will create the folder), just create a folder FSLaunch under C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9gauges
May 2, 200422 yr I won't use ANY package that relies on Microsofts .NET installer. Any alternatives?Allcott
May 2, 200422 yr What's the diffrence? just because other .dll's come with windows they are better then those made only for programs who need them? But this thread is 3 months old, there was no interest in this program so I am only using it myself and no longer bothering to release updates.
May 6, 200422 yr >I won't use ANY package that relies on Microsofts .NET>installer. Any alternatives?>>AllcottYou talking about the .net framework?then I guess you're not using EditVoicePack, which absolutely DOES require it.Moshe, it's a shame you're not developing it more, I like the concept, but could never get it to work to connect properly. I kept getting the error (after I figured out adding the folder fixed my initial problem) about not being able to find a window titled something-or-other..had something to do with the SB multiplayer dialogue. It's a GREAT concept though, one I would use if I could get the blasted thing to connect!
May 6, 200422 yr I sent you a private message with my contact information, send me a message and i'll try to find the problem.
