MSVCR.DLL CRASH!!

Featured Replies

Help! I have searched all forums, and I don't find anyone having an error involving msvcr.dll and eDimensional 3D glasses. Both fs2002 & s2004 work great, 30+fps without 3D enabled. But from the very beginning with the eDimensional Controller(Dec 03) I get a fatal error in both fs2002 & fs2004. I start the game, hit F5 when the scenery settles - the screen clicks into 800x600 mode, then after a pause it clicks again and goes black except for the top menu bar. After a few seconds the fatal error message appears -Error signature:AppName: fs9.exe AppVer: 9.0.0.30612 ModName: msvcr70.dllModVer: 7.0.9466.0 Offset: 0000133dWhen I hit F4, the screen clicks back into 1156x864, 75v. When I clear the error, FS exits w/o freezing the system and returns to the desktop. I have PowerStrip, and I run the monitor at 800x600 w/ 100hz vert freq. I am able to view eDimensional's 3D graphic clips w/ the E-D viewer. I have fs2002 & fs2004 installed on different drives with their own copies of msvcr70.dll and another copy in Windows System32 folder. All are Ver: 7.0.9466.0. which I redownloaded twice - I have been passing on the error message on to Microsoft, with no response to date. What do you think? I have been drooling over the glowing reports about 3D glasses and never wanting to run FS again without 3D. I also have the NaturalPoint headtracker and it works fine. I also get no response from eDimensional. Is this another weird problem with 3D and an ATI card or something I might be able to fix?
