FSautostart problem ?

Featured Replies

Hello simmers.Upon starting fsautostart I get the following error: Could not create process path ........ (the location of fs9.exe). The error code is 193. The path to fs9 is correct.I Uninstalled fsautostart and removed everything left back (windows folder and registry) install it back. It doesn't work. The same problem. Also, i check for viruses/trojans - everything is fine.I use original fs9.exe (not the no cd version - if the problem could be located there). I tryed to run fs9 through the add program field (at the configure tab - a kind of trik i thought !) does not work also. Also, i checked the disk for errors and did defragment. The problem occurs either with services/programms running or stopped and run. I tryed also to stop and run them one by one. With security software (antivirus) disabled as well. Nothing helps.Fsautostart latest version, winxp home/administrator.Any idea welcomed.Have a nice day, nikolasPS. Hello Ken, it's the problem you know already. I just thought to post it once seperately.

My advice is to either extract the fs9.exe from the cab files or install Flight Sim to another directory and then copy the fs9.exe.193 = not a valid Win32 application. Sounds to me like the PE header information in the exe file is corrupt.

Hello Ken. Not working. Also, have copy/pasted the .exe file fm my laptop as well. Propably the problem hasn't to do with the .exe file. This is not an .exe file, It's an X-File ! I Believe - once more !I tryed to run other applications (cfs3, photoshop) the same problem occurs all time.I tryed version 5. Nothing.Yr software hates my computer! Or my computer hates yr software ! The fact is that these two can't live together !Honestly, I give up. Thank you for helping, have a nice evening, nikolas/athens/hellas

One more question - are you using the greek (or non-english) version of either XP or FS? Just wondering if there is some kind of localization issue here.

Hello Ken.I am using the english version (winxp)/FS also (there isn't a hellenic [greek] version). Since many years I use always english versions of OS just to avoid troubles with software (specially with microsoft's OS).Feel free to ask whatever could give any idea. When i say i give up i say it from my point of view becouse i think i did whatever i could do. And as far as i can see there's no problem with fsautostart. I think it has to do with the configuration of the pc i use for virtual flying.Every 7/8 months i run fsidk/format and reinstal everything (to keep it fresh) so if we found no solution now i'll give it a try next time.Have a nice evening, nikolas/athens/hellas
