The event will be donating money to help find a cure for Crohn's Disease. Salvatore Barcia, founder of Cross the Gulf, is fighting a severe case of Crohn's Disease, and he has been in the hospital since September 22, 2011. Doctors from Cornell Medical Center, in New York City, say that the Crohn's Disease triggered conditions such as Ankylosing Spondylitis (Spine Disease) and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Salvatore's condition is life-long. With all of that being said, this event is going to be dedicate to everyone across the globe that is fighting Crohn's Disease. Salvatore's family came up with this idea, and they will be donating $3 for every flight that is flown on our featured routes during Cross the Gulf Westbound 2012. We will also be accepting private donations on our website. Wristbands in honor of Salvatore's fight are also for sale at the event website. All proceeds will be going directly towards the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America to help find a cure. Please participate on January 8th to help raise as much money as possible; all you have to do is fly!Featured RoutesMiami (KMIA) to Houston (KIAH)Miami (KMIA) to Dallas Fort Worth (KDFW)Miami (KMIA) to Cancun (MMUN)Miami (KMIA) to Mexico City (MMMX)Fort Lauderdale (KFLL) to Houston (KIAH)Fort Lauderdale (KFLL) to Dallas Fort Worth (KDFW)Fort Lauderdale (KFLL) to Cancun (MMUN)Fort Lauderdale (KFLL) to Mexico City (MMMX)Orlando (KMCO) to Cancun (MMUN)Orlando (KMCO) to Mexico City (MMMX)Kingston (MJKS) to Houston (KIAH)Kingston (MJKS) to Dallas Fort Worth (KDFW)
