multi monitors Help please

Featured Replies

Hi all. I have a question about using 2 monitors. I have purchased a radeon 9200se (128meg) pci for my second card. My other one is a Gforce 2 pro (or something like that). They both have 3d capablities etc. When I load fs9 both cards show up in the settings, but how do I drag my gps (ie) over to the second monitor? The game acts like I'm running just one monitor.ThanksHuggs Kittie

Hi KittieIf you run full screen mode, bring up the window you want to move, ie the GPS is usually SHIFT-3, use your mouse to move it more than halfway off your main monitor, hit SHIFT-3 twice, and it should appear on your second monitor. Then you can drag it to where you want it and resize it if you want. If you have any probs just post again.David

Thanks for your help. It seem to only work I'm running in a window. I hit undock and move it over. When I did it in full screen the second monitor when black but I could not see anything. What am I doing wrong?ps. I'm running windows xp

HiIf you're in 2D panel mode you need to open the window you want to move, then you move it so most of the window is on the second monitor (you won't see it on the monitor yet). Next close the the window the same way you opened it. The monitor should go black now. Reopen the window same as the first time and it should appear on the black screen. Hope it works this time.David

Big Thanks!!It's working now!Kittie

Yes, this is also the way I do it. Problem is though, that the kneeboard, that does not need a window to drag to the second monitor, disappears when you go to full screen again. At least when you try to to touch a button on the kneeboard.
