F16 Viper

Featured Replies

I had to reinstall FS9. (don't ask) Anyway, I put Kirk Olson's Viper back into the sim with the recommended panel, but I don't have gauges in the VC or the vapor effects on the wings. I installed it as directed and I had them working in FS9 before the uninstall, reinstall. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. B Bjorkman CFI

Did you remember to replace the panel.cfg file from the recommended panel with Kirk's panel.cfg ?John M.

Thanks John,,,, No I did not, that fixed it. While I'm at it do you have any idea why my vapor effect from high G's doesn't work? I've seen screen shots from others and they seem to have it working. Thanks again.B Bjorkman CFI

Thanks B, no problem. I'm not sure on the vapor problem, but you may want to check your FS9/Effects folder to see if you placed Kirks's effects file there on re-install. If it is there alredy, maybe check to see if your 'G effects' (or called 'G forces'?) is enabled in your aircraft/realsim settings. This will cause the peripheral vision blackout effect, and may be tied into the vapor effect you are looking for. Good Luck,John M.

Ok John M. I assume the M stands for Money because your right again. It was the g force box you mentioned. My confidence in you is high right now so lets try one more,,,,, now this is very important. I'm looking for a Walmart/Berkshire Hathaway type investment,,,,,,,what can you tell me?,,,,lol. Thanks for the help. B Bjorkman CFI

-When it goes to $100, SELL ! (Actually I'm currenty in the poor house due to poor investing, so don't listen to a thing I say on that subject !)Glad the F-16 is back in action.John M.
