Go live date for new file mirror?

I seem to remember reading a couple of months back about a mirror service for AVSIM. apparently some entity had come up with the hardware and infrastructure to mirror the AVSIM file library and help reduce local traffic to the AVSIM site.Any news on this front? Is it still in the works?
