Requested Flight File Cannot be Found

Featured Replies

Hi:I reinstalled FS9 and then copied in all my old files. I now get the above message at start-up. FS9 then loads the default flight and everything is fine. anybody know what is going on?Thanks

Look in your config file (FS9.cfg). Find the line in the USERINTERFACE section that looks like this:SITUATION=C:Documents and SettingsOwnerMy DocumentsFlight Simulator Filescur747(its usually easy to find, its one of the longest lines inthe file)Then look in the referenced folder for the *.flt and *.wx files that it is looking for. In my case, I'd be looking in the folder named"C:Documents and SettingsOwnerMy DocumentsFlight Simulator FilesAnd I'd be looking for the files named cur747.flt and cur747.wx. The chances are that it is looking for files which no longer exist. You can fix it by changeing the filename in FS9.cfg to match *flt and *.wx files which are valid. I hope that this helps. R-

Many thanks for your help Ron, that should do it.Regards
