I just started playing with TileProxy yesterday. I followed the tutorial here to install TileProxy for FSX. I used Map Service #1 (Bing) because it has high res maps of the area I want to fly (Netherlands).However, I get very low resolution in FSX. This is what I see if I fly over Haarlem:TileProxyProblem_01.jpgAnd here is the same area on Bing:TileProxyProblem_02.jpgSo why am I getting this low resolution?

Post the lines for your .ini for the Bing server.

Ok, some progress. I figured out why I wasn't seeing any high resolution ground textures. I had set my target framerate in FSX to "unlimited". This gives me great framerates in FSX but apparently leaves no time for TileProxy to load the high res textures. When I set my target framerate to anything but unlimited, the textures get replaced by high res textures - eventually.But this presents a whole bunch of new problems. :(First of all, when I set my target framerate to "unlimited", I get great framerates: between 30-50fps all the time. This makes for very smooth flying. But like I said, TileProxy apparently never gets the change to update the textures.When I set frame rate to anything but unlimited (even one notch down at 99), framerate drastically drops to around 10 fps average, making flying incredibly unrealistic. And even so, I have to pauze the simulation over a certain area and wait for about 20 seconds before the textures get updated with high resolution ones (and when I restart FSX, I have to wait over the same area again for 20s to get the high res textures so apparently it isn't cached) So this isn't really a solution either.What could be wrong? My system should be up to the task:Win 7 x64Core 2 Quad 95508GB RAMGTX 570Internet download speed: 60 Mbit/s (confirmed with speedtest.net)

Are you using an external frame limiter?

Hi,Sorry, then I have no idea. You need to get FSX running well first before trying TP.

But that's just it. FSX is running great with target framerate set to unlimited but just doesn't want to play nice with TP then... :(

I'm having the exact same issue flying over the Florida Keys. If I let my plane sit for about 20 minutes, the textures load beautifully, but as soon as I take off and fly around, they immediately get blurry. Tried turning my FPS down from unlimited, even to 99 like you, and my FPS would drop to 10-20 with constant stuttering. Not 100% sure why Unlimited works fine but anything I set my FPS limit to makes it unmanageable. Any help would be appreciated since I really would like to experience Tileproxy.

That's not TileProxy dependent.

Back up your current FSX.ini file, then edit it and put these strings under the relative sections (for fast PCs, quad core and quick storage - if you have HT, disable it):

[Display]

TextureMaxLoad=15

[MAIN]

FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0 //default=0.33

[sCENERY]

MAX_ASYNC_BATCHING_JOBS=3

[TERRAIN]

SWAP_WAIT_TIMEOUT=2

[Graphics]

HighMemFix=1

[JOBSCHEDULER]

AffinityMask=15

[bufferPools]

Usepools=0

PoolSize=0

RejectThreshold=98304

Consider these as Beta settings, as any system is different (even the same system is different after formatting).
