March 13, 200422 yr Sometime ago there was a lot of talk about the blinking/flashing trees in FS9. Problem seems to appear only on ATI 9700 and 9800 cards. I have tried some workarounds that time but still having this issue with Catalyst 4.3 now.Are there users who already have solved this prbolem?? I cost me lots of money buying an ATI 9800 but still haven't much fun. Thanks,Marcel
March 13, 200422 yr Trees use alpha textures. I use Gerrish's Connifer trees. I think that was his second set. They're by far the best. Very little movement and much of the time none. You're noticing em' cause everything else is so nice and quiet on screen. People seem to make a big deal out of this very small issue when you look at the whole picture. When you run across a radio attenna, you'll see the same thing if you're looking for it.
March 13, 200422 yr Yeah, kind of annoying if you're very picky about the graphics. I haven't been able to completely get rid of it yet, however, playing with the mip settings within FS9 and your anisotropic settings in the ATI control panel will help reduce it so it's not very annoying.
