March 15, 200422 yr Problem :-When I start FS9, whether from short cut or main file in the past few days I have just started to see the following message and I wondered if any one can tell me what may be causing it.In a pop up error window and before anything else appears on the screen I see "Entry point not foundfs9.exe procedure entry point WindowFromAccessibleObject could not be located in the dynamic link library OLEACC.dll"I press OK and this window reappears about three times then FS9 loads and runs, apparently OK.I'm interested in removing this message, or at least to understand what area might be causing it, plane, scenery, whatever!Anyone able to advise?Thanksbf
March 15, 200422 yr Simply put, this error message means that when FS9 tries to access that DLL to look for that procedure, it can't find it.I would rename oleacc.dll in your windowssystem32 folder and reinstall FS9 and see what happens.

I think renaming this file and re-installing FS9 would simply make 'oleacc.dll' turn up as a missing file. Then again Steven, you might perhaps know something I don't, because as I said I'm just guessing by looking at the date of that system file. I could be way off base, but I don't think FS9 installs any files into Windowssystem32.Regards,Jim
March 15, 200422 yr Hi, Jim.I did some more research on that file and it's part of the Microsoft Active Accessibility, which is included in Win98SE and later. You can redownload that component from Microsoft's download site.
March 15, 200422 yr Hi Steven,Cool. That's sounds like that's probably thi guys best bet at fixing the problem. :)Cheers,Jim
March 16, 200422 yr Thanks for the input. Problem solved. After reading your posts I did a new search on the dll. Previously I'd searched the WIndows directory and subs, this time I searched the entre system. The problem was that somehow, unknown, in the past few days a different version of the dll had turned up in the FS9 folder. Deleted it and all is well. Now, if I could just stop SquawkBox from crashing as soon as it logs into Vatsim. Thanks againbf
