1.00 GB RAM: really should be enough????

Featured Replies

Hi,I would think that 1 GB of RAM is enough. I don't know if more would help or make any difference or not. It's a question worth asking I reckon. But face it, the game has to hit your hard drive at some point to load textures and scenery that is coming into view. It is made in such a way that is only going to load up so much information into RAM regardless of how much you have before moving along, I think. Sure, it would be nice if your high quality 32-bit texture aircraft with complex avionics and the entire world of scenery could be loaded up before you fly, but I don't think we'll see that happening for a long time to come, if ever! If someone were to come along here and say they got better performance and less loading when they went from 1 GB of RAM to 1.5 or 2 GB's of RAM that would have me thinking about getting more RAM. ;) I would also be interested in hearing if going from a 128 MB video card to a 256 MB yeilds less loading and/or quicker loading of 32-bit aircraft textures.Cheers,Jim
