March 30, 200422 yr I am moving to L.A. in two months, and fly Megascenery L.A. a lot to practice approaches, and to get used to terrain. Will Al Wheeler's Central Coast files, affect this, or affect FSgenesis landclass? Looking forward to using it!
March 30, 200422 yr I use it with the FSGenesis landclass and it looks ok to me. I got Justin's free landclass after I got the California coast, and I haven't looked at all of it yet, but where I have looked is fine. Al suggests Matt Fox's landclass. I have found on on my system Fox's landclass works with Justin's landclass. I'm still comparing and trying to decide which I like better. It's kind of a case of personal preference. Not sure about megacenery... Al's work goes basically from San Simeon to Santa Barbara. If you go to the original file cccoast4.zip, and click on zipdive, there is a cccmap4.gif you can view that may help.Be aware there is a revised version, ccc4rev1.zip available. Among other improvements, Al made room for some guy's lighthouse's in the revised version. ;-) If Al doesn't see this post, you may shoot him an email and see he's run into any problem's with the FSGenesis landclass, and if he's had any feedback on megascenery for that matter. Real nice guy, I'm sure he'll give you all the help he can.Larryhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/69331.gif
March 31, 200422 yr I don't have Megascenery LA but from what I read it doesn't appear to extend north to the Santa Barbara area. That's as far south as my scenery goes so I'd guess there'd be no conflict.I'm using the USA FSGenesis landclass as well as Matt Fox's landclass. Fox's landclass fleshes out the cities and towns best in the CCCoast area and solves a few other problems. This afternoon I'll be uploading an updated version of the CCC scenery (CCCOASTM.ZIP). I've tweaked it to work better with 38.2m mesh terrain. I have the Genesis mesh but it should work ok with other 38.2m mesh.
