March 30, 200422 yr I installed a new scenery for SAEZ which I got in the web, but unfortunately the name of the author is not mentioned. The problem that I have is that this new scenery moves the airport to the north like half a mile, and although it comes with an Afcad file, which relocates the gates, taxiways and runways, it seems that it doesn't change the ground properties, leaving the runway and taxiways with the properties of the sorrounding ground, say full of holes. I have been trying to take off my Posky 767-300 and since its nose gear its very sensitive to the imperfections of the ground, it gets damages and the plane crashes. With the downloaded file it comes a text that says:Flatten.0=66, S34 46 19,W58 35 59,S34 46 19,W58 29 13,S34 52 08,W58 29 13,S34 52 08,W58 35 59.It looks as if this text is the solution to the problem, but I don't find a way of installing it in the AFCAD file and it doesn't mention what to do with it either.Help please!!!Thanks,Leo
March 30, 200422 yr You will need to copy/paste the flatten line into FS9's scenery.cfg under the related scenery name.!!MAKE A BACKUP COPY OF THE SCENERY.CFG BEFORE MAKING ANY CHANGES!!Example: 1. Scroll down and Open the scenery.cfg located by default at C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9.2. Scroll down through the scenery listings in the cfg until you find your addon scenery name in the Title line. (such as SAEZ if that is it's title)3. add your Flatten.0=xxx,xxx,xxx,,xxx line to the bottom of that scenery listing.4. Save------------------------------Example #2[Area.060]Title=Alaska Mesh 2000Local=......FS9 SceneryAlaska Mesh 2000Remote=Active=TRUERequired=FALSELayer=1flatten.0=1697,N67 33.63,W149 59.03,N67 32.91,W149 59.7,N67 33.12,W150 1.83,N67 33.61,W150 1.68--------------------------------Hope that helps
