Tupolev Tu-154 B-2 Problems

Featured Replies

I'm having some problems with this add-on and I don't (for the life of me) know why. Everytime I load the aircraft in the "select an aircraft" section of the simulation, I get several "Error-FS9" messages popping up on my screen. The message is as follows:---------------------------------------------------------------------"Flight simulator was unable to load some aircraft or software. You can continue using Flight Simulator but this aircraft or software will be disabled."It then tells me the file."File: GAUGES154_B2S.GAU""File: GAUGES154_B2copilot.GAU"---------------------------------------------------------------------The aircraft then loads properly. When you hit "fly" it does the same thing, loads scenery etc. and gets you into mission. You can then fly the aircraft. I have noticed some gauges don't seem to work as well. The program goes through the same error process when hitting the "esc" key and ending the flight. I thought I had loaded the add-on properly in the simulator. Have checked 3 times to make sure but I must be missing something. I am confused as hell.Anyone have any similar problems with this add-on aircraft? Any help would be most appreciated. It is a beautiful aircraft, panels and VC included. Thanks.

Hi,you need to put the following entry in the fs9.cfg :OLDMODULESfssound.dll=1You need to put the OLDMODULES in brackets (for some reason the Forum software doesn't display them)Mike

Thanks. I will give this a try.

Well I tried it and unfortunately it didn't work. I guess I'll just uninstall the add-on and move on to some other aircraft. Thanks again for the help though.Cheers.

Yeah, I get the same problem although it does load, except for the articficial horizon which doesn't appear at all. I have the fssound dll entry in my config. Shame, looks like a nice model.LonelyplanetXO

Funny, my artificial horizon is there but does not move at all. It is a shame as you had mentioned, it is such a beautiful aircraft and the panels and VC are first rate.I'm going to hate uninstalling it today.;(

Say, what Tu are you talking about? There are several versions. The best one (by far) does NOT have a VC, BUT the panel is TOP CLASS, one of the best Freeware projects ever made. You can use mikealphas excellent english tutorial to go through the basics. There is another model made by Tibor Kokai. While it has nice eye candy features (a great VC for example) it's nowhere near Project Tupolevs Tu154 by any parameter. You can find and download this aircraft from here:http://tu154.avsim.ru/files.html//Michael

your right, mine's Tibors one. I'm sure the other one is very nice, but I don't bother with models that have no VC as I spend 90% of my simming time there.LPXO

Well, in that case (and it's just a shot in the dark) are you sure there's no mixup between the two? That is, are you not using the PT panel for Tibors model? as this may explain some of the bugs you're experiencing. Also, in the documentation, does it say the panel is designed for FS2004? perhaps these are compatibility issues of an FS2002 panel.//Michael
