Loss of Radio & GPS & Function Keys after about 3 m fly...

Featured Replies

After about a year of relatively trouble-free flying with FS2002 Pro on WinXP with a GEForce MX440 with 64Mb, I am suddenly experiencing a loss of Radio lights (not the whole radio panel) and GPS data (not the whole panel) and sometimes the function keys stop working. This happens a few minutes into every flight apparently regardless of display settings.Any thoughts?:-zhelp

Sounds like a graphics issue to me so I would suggest testing your DirectX functions first. Onlt two days ago I had a sound loss within MSFS and I had to reboot to fix it, nothing worse than that. You can do this by START - RUN - type dxdiag in the box - click OK. Then you will see the DX test page where you can select the display tab, but while you're there you might as well select all tabs in turn. Any problems should show up in the message box. If that doesn't reveal a problem let us know.

Actually sounds like a dead battery in your aircraft. Try using FSUIPC and click "extend battery life". Also make sure everything in the electical system is set like it should be.Brew

Thanks, Brewmaster, for your suggestion.I had somehow inadvertently saved a flight with the alternator (Cessna 182) switched off. I guess the battery held up for a little while and then just failed. Switching it on solved the problem.I feel a little stupid.:-doh
