April 17, 200422 yr i can't get it to connect to my fs2002,it keep telling me something about my fsuipc, please help thank you
April 17, 200422 yr Do you have FSUIPC? Sounds like you might not have it from what you say. It is an add on that is free for FS2002 users, but you need any version before 3.XX for example FSUIPC 2.95 which I have if you want me to email it to you. Later versions are available but are not required for FS2002. When you have got it you just install the FSUIPC.dll in your modules folder. Then your flightdeck companion should not give the message about FSUIPC.
April 17, 200422 yr Current versions of FSUIPC (3.x series) which are compatible with FS2004 will also provide connectivity with FDC for FS2002. I am using ver 3.202, and it connects just fine to both FS2002 and FS2004. What you will not get with the 3.x series however is the full capability of FSUIPC, with all features activated, unless of course you register it, since FSUIPC, starting with ver 3 for FS2004, is now payware. However, for connectivity purposes with various software applications where the author has made arrangements with Pete Dowson (Dave March has), you can download the any version from schiratti.com and it works fine. There is no need for registration of FSUIPC just to use FDC. I would suggest that anyone using FDC check the FDC forum here at Avsim. Lots of good info there, and Dave does monitor the forum daily. That is the best place to post your questions on FDC, since they could easily be missed here on the general forum.Be sure to read the posts pinned at the top of the forum for FAQ type info. If installing ver 1 of FDC from the CD, be sure you download the latest update/enhancement file from the oncourse software web site. Then be sure to read the readme that comes with the update, since there have been numerous enhancmements since ver 1 was first released. Regards,PaulFDC Team Member
