Level D 767; No vertical speed indication on PFD

I'm playing on my brothers computer using Level D 767 in FSX (Win 7).

He didn't notice this before but on the PFD there is no vertical speed indication (needle).

On the "analog" indicator just right from the PFD it works fine.

Is this a known bug and is there a fix?
