My contrails are screwed up, for some reason a second set of contrails points down from the acutal contrails towards the earth. Hard to explain but is there anyway to turn them off completely?

You've installed an add-on that has FS2002 contrail FX included. Simply replace the contrail files from the install CD's and you'll fix it.Allcott
