April 24, 200422 yr I used the latest download patches to load Lago Twin Otter and Just Flight Dash8-300 Professional into FS9. Both show up in the aircraft folder. Both have all the requisite sub-folders: model, texture, panel, sound, aircraft.cfg and air files. When I open FS9 and choose Change Aircraft, niether one shows up. What did I forget to do?
April 24, 200422 yr I had a similar problem with the Twotter, but it may not the same culprit.I keep all my planes off-line except when actually flying. I brought back a Twotter -- one of the add ons -- and the daggone thing refused to appear in the FS window even though the folder contents looked perfectly normal.I finally figured out all the Twotters alias to the appropriate model folder in the basic DHC-6 aircraft folder which was still off-line. Once I brought that folder back on-line everything was fine.Like I said, it may not be the same situation, but ya never know.-------------------Racartronit means something, but I just can't remember what
April 25, 200422 yr I'm not sure what you mean by keeping all your planes "off-line"? All of mine, default and add-ons are in the FS 9/Aircraft folder and the basic DHC 6 is there also. I added the DHC-6 and the Dash 8.dll files to [OLDMODULES]in fs 9.cfg but it made no difference. Could you explain in a little more detail? Thanks
April 25, 200422 yr RodThere are programs available that allow you to easily move aircraft back and forth between FS9Aircraft and a "hanger" folder so that your Aircraft folder doesn't get cluttered up with A/C you seldom use. However a lot of A/C alias one or more of their functions (such as model, panel, sound, etc) to another aircraft and those functions won't exhist if you remove that aircraft from the FS9Aircraft folder.Hope that's a semi-clear explanation.David
