April 26, 200422 yr Does any one out there know just how many "Add on Scenery" areas one can have active or installed in MSFS 2002 Pro? Is there an ajustable buffer some where in the program or one that says "so many areas are here and lets kick the rest out". Thats what seems to be happenning to me. Ill add an area and go back to the list later to see it's not there. Then if i delete some of others it will be there or I can add it again and it will stay on the list. Thanks for any info.Dizzy
April 26, 200422 yr Hi Dizzy,For FS2002, the max amount of "Add on Scenery" one can have is 314.A good deal is to work with "FS Scenery Manager 1.7+ ".This is a payware (worth of the money). Look at http://www.dornier-wal.info/manager/manager_index.htmfor more infos. With this tool, you can define sets of scenries FS will load, for example make one set for Europe, one for Americas, ...Hope it helped
April 26, 200422 yr In my experience, you can have up to 331 layers. After that, they won't appear in the library any more.Way back, I started consolidating i.e. everything by certain authors (that didn't need exclude or flatten entries, mind you) went in the same folder. I got up to 900 sceneries in FS2002 that way.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
April 26, 200422 yr I agree with you Mark, that's what I mostly have done for small airports from the same country.About the number of sceneries: I have tested it now (I'm at home) with the FS Scenery Manager, it does not accept more than 332 (you are right again!)Enjoy
