April 28, 200422 yr Hi,I have a question regarding upgrading FS2002 to FS2004.I purchased FS2002 a little while ago and after reading the manual I realised there was a professional version as well. If I had known I would have got that version at the time if it were available. From reading the manual the main difference that I can see are the missing aircraft. Is this correct? These are:Beech Baron 58Beechcraft King Air 350Cessna Grand CaravanMooney Bravo,Can alternative aircraft and panels be downloaded to fill the missing aircraft? If it is possible can they all be downloaded from this site, and could someone let me know what to search for. The few shops that stock FS2002 in Sydney that I have seen only have FS2002 not professional. Had I known at the time of my purchase about PC Aviator I would have obtained the pro version there. My current computer can not run FS2004 so that is not an option at present, and my next hard earnt dollars with be for some more CH Controllers.Any help would be appreciated.
April 28, 200422 yr If an aircraft is labeled for FS2002, usually it means that it can be used for both the regular and Pro version. The Pro version has those additional aircraft, plus, if I'm not mistaken, allow you to create some simple sceneries/aircrafts as well. For those "missing" aircrafts, just look in the library under fs2002 aircraft. You may also want to do a search on the net for those aircrafts. Keep in mind that some of those may be payware.
April 29, 200422 yr Thanks for the reply,I will do some searching and try to find the extra aircfaft I need.
April 29, 200422 yr The same thing happened to me when I bought FS2002, my first flight simulator. It was a bit frustrating when I discovered my favourite aircraft to fly were turboprops. There's no real way to upgrade to the pro version, but a couple of aircraft I found worked well in the standard version. One is the Piper Aztec by Fred Choate (mtair_aztec.zip) available here. The other is the Sunstate Dash 8 by Brad Disher that comes in two versions, one for pro and one for standard.RegardsBlairCYOW
