May 1, 200422 yr I really should know this, but I'm a little rusty, what are the meanings of the different V speeds on the FMC in the Citation X, What is the "V" Speed, theres like V1 V2 V3.. I load up the information in the Performance section of the FMC, and then calculate speeds, but don't know what the information means. Thanks.
May 1, 200422 yr V1 means once you hit that speed you cannot stop in time if you loose an engine so you must takeoff after this pointV2 means the rotate speed to pitch the aircraft upV3 means get off the ground!I hope I didn't mess anything up since I just learned this stuff myself
May 2, 200422 yr From the Aeronautical Term DictionaryV1 Takeoff Decision Speed (last chance to stop)Vr Rotation speedV2 Takeoff safety speed (also used as the safety speed for takeoff when you lose and engine)Vfe Maximum Flap extended speedVle Maximum Landing gear extended speedVlo Maximum speed for landing gear operation (don't raise or lower gear above this speed)If there are any others you need just let me know.
