Logbook Help

Featured Replies

Would be grateful if anyone can suggest a solution to the following problem. When I shutdown FS2K4 I used to get the Logbook displayed with the hours all filled-in for me to only update the airport or other info. Since the last 2 days this has stopped. Now, I have to keep a track of the flight time and manually make entries. This inspite of no change in the fs9.cfg file and the item of 'Log Flight Time' ticked under the General Options menu. Thanks in advance.

Open your FS9.cfg and verify the name of the file referenced by your "LOG_FILE=" entry. The default entry is LOG_FILE=LOGBOOK. Then open your :Documents and SettingsMy DocumentsFlight Simulator Files folder and verify that the name of your .LOG file is the same one referenced in your FS9.cfg.Hope this helps,Kevin

Hi Kevin,Thanks for the tip but I have already verified what u suggest and all is as it should be. In fact, I today tried an experiment. I cutout the LOgbook.log file , put it away in a folder. Unticked the Log Flight Time. Rebooted and made it active again. FS then generated a new pristine Logbook. However, at the end of the flight session it refused to come on.Replaced it with my back-up and after again starting FS, manually logged today's hours. It is getting to be a ####.I am suspecting that somehow after some last heavy scenery addons, the Free RAM XP programme is preventing the logbook from coming up.Tomorrow will try de-activating FreeRAM and try.Aarmin
