What are the FPS with the C441?

Featured Replies

Hello!I was wondering what the frame rates are like with the Flight 1 C441 conquest? It looks like a nice add-on for FS9.Anyone with a slower system using this add-on aircraft?I have a PIII 1 Ghz running FS9 pretty well using the default aircraft (20fps on average) but do you think the C441 will run well enough on a slower system?Any feedback is appreciated.Happy Simming!Scott :-)ATP/CFII - KCOS

In spot view I am getting around 22-23fps unless I am over a major airport like LAX. I'll be honest and say VC view, and the panel, both give a hit on a slower system. But since I fly with the 2-d panel alone, I edited out the VC entries and get pretty decent performance in the VC. Flight1 did something rather nice--they have a static bitmap that recreates the cockpit and underlies the VC gauges. For a slower system like mine, it's a godsend, since it does add realism when one wants to pan around the virtual cockpit/cabin. For maximum performance, I also have a reference in the 441's aircraft .cfg to the generic tprop 2-d panel. This keeps performance at it's peak when I am more interested in just enjoying the look of this great model...Anyway, as a P3/800 user I am pretty dang happy with 'er...

Thanks for the feedback John!Scott :-)ATP/CFII - KCOS
