Going to MS...

Featured Replies

I just found out my company is going to do onsight training at MS in Redmond! Although my companies owner is probably going to do the training (I wouldn't want to blow that one!) I told him I wanted to come out for at least a few days to check it out, so he's going to fly me out and I can spend a few days at the campus. My main goal- weasel my way into the FS design team's studio. Anybody have any leads or know anybody there that I could talk to? I'd love to take a tour (if they let people). I don't think the people we're working with will have any connections whatsoever, but I will explore them. Even with my game dev. background, the only connection I have is to Bill Gates himself (Long story from my days as a internet entrepreneur), and I doubt he'll accomodate me, even if I could get in touch with him. I am a slimy little sucker when I want something, and I want to get the scoop...

We have two things in common--we're both Daddy's, and we've both met and spoken with Bill Gates... But I suspect if Bill Gates ever ran into me on the street, he'd hardly remember me from a brief meeting almost twenty years ago...I don't have an regular contact with the dev. team, but chances are someone here does and will forward your interest on. I suspect you'll get your wish if Microsoft allows it...-John
