May 18, 200422 yr Hi Jeff,Anybody's guess what might have killed it. Best way to resolve the problem is to re-install the gauge. I believe (this from my fuzzy memory :-) ) the default gps is on Disc 1. When you do find it simply extract it into your Gauges folder.Hope this helps,Greg
May 18, 200422 yr Can't find the file, looked on all 4 disks and opened the zip files and looked there can't find the garmin gauge file. Jeff
May 18, 200422 yr There is a file in the library that lists the location of every file on the FS cd's.Allcott
May 18, 200422 yr Jeff,"What library????" Avsim of course (and it's 15-20 times faster)!!What you're looking for is on Disc 2. Open the MSGAME3.CAB. Scroll thru until you find FS9GPS.CAB. Extract the entire FS9GPS.CAB into your Gauges folder. Don't open it into the Gauges folder, simply extract the FS9GPS.CAB to the Gauges folder. While you're there extract the following two files into your Modules folder:gps.dllgps.export.dllWhat library? Shame on you! :-) Cheers,Greg
May 18, 200422 yr Shame on me,I unzip the whole zip file and just copied the gauge file over to FS9 and now its working so far.I checked my gauge file before I copied over and the gps cab file was not there or any gps files.I used Pest Patrol on Sunday to get rid of adwares and went into the log and guess what, some adware was attached to the gps cab file and was deleated by Pest Patrol.I have no idea how that was done but its was done by someone's adware.
