I love flight sim, and AVSIM. However the amount of material here is just overwhelming.So because of this, I will be posting Needle in a Haystack posts. These posts are particularly fine Addon's that I have sampled from our library that get little play from the rest of the forum, but are fine examples of addons that you may or may not of heard of.I will limit my posts to files that don't normally get a lot of run. As a result, my post may be the only coverage one may see of a particular file. This is not to say that GA-Traffic, or Traffic Tools are not important addons, but I am looking for those "Needles in a Haystack" that we find almost by accident.Also, feel free to add your own needles.So without further ado. My first needle, goes to "Aer Lingus Fokker 50 Version 3.0" (Filename: sga50aer.zip) (Model by Dreamwings, Repaint by Steve Drabek)This repaint of a Dream Wings Fokker 50 is absolutely gorgeous. The textures are beautiful, and the GMAX model is fully animated. While most of the model is pristine, Steve has done well to add some discoloration to the engine Nacelles to reflect the blackening from the Turboprop exhaust.A nice touch is the addition of the APU unit (In Aer Lingus colors) and the wheel chocks and orange cones which appear when the engines are stopped. The main exit folds down to reveal a built-in stairway and an Aer Lingus Flight Attendant, greeting you as you board.The only thing missing from this fine bird is a panel. Yeah, she is a great bird.I have done quite a few paints of her, namely Iberia, Flugfelag, Nakanihon etc etc, you can get them all at my site www.flightsin.comAnother thing is, the Espen panel, it is a really,really good panel, although I could not get the HSI to work on my system, so I had to replace it with the JL2 version, no real hardship if you have the JL2 gaugesCheersDan.
