June 24, 201213 yr I just read here http://ark.intel.com...Cache-3_30-GHz) It says the i3 uses DDR3 1066/1333. Whereas I have GSKILL 4GB 1600. Does it mean my RAM is not compatible? I am in between i5 2400 or i3 2120. Thanks
June 24, 201213 yr It should be compatible. It just means your frequency will be no higher than 1333. There's a lot of systems for sale on the Internet with the i3 2120 and memory with 1600 MHz frequencies. Best regards, Jim

Your RAM can still go slower no problem, and I suspect the motherboard you pick will let you set these faster RAM speeds anyway. Intel won't guarantee it will work at those faster speeds, but most likely it will. Both the i3 and i5 have the same rated memory speeds by Intel. For FSX I would recommend the i5 any day. But get the 2500K instead so you have the option to overclock.
