Welcome to the MS Flight forum!

This subforum of AVSIM is dedicated to MS Flight and the users that like to play the game. Feel free to talk about all aspects of MS Flight, but keep it civil and mature.

There is one important rule: do not post 'oneliners' in which you only bash Flight (or only praise another flying game). Such posts, which add nothing useful to any topic, will be removed without notice. Repeat, and you will be removed too. If you don't really like Flight, for whatever reason, you might consider visiting another forum because this one is mainly meant for those who enjoy playing the game.

BTW Replies to the kind of posts I just mentioned are prone to being removed also without any notice: please PM me if you think someone is misbehaving and do not react to any trolling.

Update 29 June 2012: Trolls and bans

Some people on this forum seem to like the words 'troll' or 'ban' a lot and take every opportunity to use them. I have removed a series of posts about trolling and banning and you know what...?

1. None of these posts had to do with actual trolling.

2. The biggest problem with 'trolling' right now is people calling someone else a troll, which results in heated off-topic debates which are a waste of bandwidth and precious AVSIM resources.

In the Welcome post above I said "please PM me if you think someone is misbehaving and do not react to any trolling." Please adhere to that simple rule!!! This forum will be a much more friendly and welcoming place if everyone would do that.

In case you didn't know: the best way to treat a real troll, is to ignore him completely. Trolls only want to 'provoke readers into an emotional response' (Wikipedia) so if you don't respond, they will leave. And if they don't, we will take care of him of her. Which brings me to bans:

1. Bans are none of your business.

Do not make remarks like 'this will get you banned' or 'I am surprised you aren't banned yet'. Do not make funny remarks about bans either because they never are funny. Make no remarks about bans at ALL. Posts like that do the same harm as the ones about 'trolling'.

So here is another simple rule: do not talk about trolls and/or bans or your post will be deleted without notice. Let me repeat: "please PM me if you think someone is misbehaving." If you all stick to this very simple rule, this place will be, as I said, a much more friendly and welcoming place.
