May 25, 200422 yr Hi,Just wanted to ask if anyone else is having this problem. Looked in the aircraft.cfg and there's two sounds (bnroll.wav and I think bnroll1.wav?) which I seem to have ok in my main sound file. They play ok with windows media player and have tried lots of volumes / sound quality settings in the game but no luck so far. It's weird because I think all my other sounds are playing ok (and it really sucks for knowing where I am when attempting a landing).Anyone else getting this thing?ThanksP
May 25, 200422 yr You don't mention which FS you are running, though I guess the files in question may be the same for at least FS2002 and FS9. The file names should be bnroll.wav and bnroll2.wav. They are for ground roll sounds, so you shouldn't hear them while airborne. Check your file names and your 737-400 panel.cfg file to make sure the names are correct. I could email you my 737-400 panel.cfg if you want. If so, email me [email protected]
May 25, 200422 yr Hi,Thanks for the help. Am using Fs9 with win98se(?). Had a look for audio codecs problem but they seemed ok. Then found that the sound does play but only when I've rolled off the runway and then it stays on even if I get back on it again. I guess maybe it's not meant to play on runway surfaces? Might also have a look into cfg files and attempt to find out what this flag=xxxx thing means though. Thanks for the helpP
May 25, 200422 yr I don't know about Win98 but I know several people use it with FS9 apparently without problems. I have XP and the ground roll sound works on the runways, whether I start on a runway or taxi to it. Not sure what could be causing your problem now. Sorry I can't help further.
