GA-Traffic Question - Military Airports?

Featured Replies

So I'm in the Bay Area near Moffett Field. I went into the GA-Traffic config and looked up Moffett. It wasn't marked as a military base so I checked that box. Now what will I have to do to get military aircraft coming in and out of this airport?I'm using GA-Traffic in conjunction with Ultimate Traffic. Thanks!

I just ran into something else that I was hoping someone might know whats going on..I just loaded up FS after installing GA-Traffic and noticed that there was a bi-plane sitting on the GA section of the airport at KSJC. heh. How do I fix this?

Hi,Military Airports are currently only build as feature in GA-Traffic.You mark them as military and if there are no general aviation parking places the airport will not be used for GA flights. Normaly all airports will be used for flights, even the airports without parking spaces.A version 2 of GA-Traffic, or maybe another program called 'MA-Traffic', will use the information and generate military traffic.Currently I try to figure out what data is needed to make military traffic work, and it looks that it will be not included in 'GA-Traffic'. I found that MA traffic is much more different than GA traffic, so I think it will be a new program. The program will use the same databses as 'GA-Traffic' but I think the user interface must be different.Currently you will not get any military traffic from 'GA-Traffic'.

Hi again,if you have marked the bi-plane as use for GA traffic the program will use the plane. So if you didn't whant the plane, remove the mark. If you whant to lower the probability you can do this too. Normaly I suggest a value of less than 2% for old bi-planes. Also you should check the 'Money per week' value, it shouldn't be to high for old bi-planes.
