May 31, 200422 yr Can I change the GPS in a panel? I want to change from GPS 250 to the GPS 500 in the Fokker 50 panel. Bob
May 31, 200422 yr Yes you can. Just open your panel.cfg file located in the Fokker 50 panel folder and look at the list of gauges for the GPS window. Assuming that you normally open the GPS with a panel icon you will see the entry for the gauge similar to below. This one is from the default 737-400. (Window02)size_mm=456,378window_size=0.5position=8BACKGROUND_COLOR=0,0,0VISIBLE=0ident=GPS_PANELgauge00=fs9gps!gps_500, 0,0The next is from the default Spirit of St Louis. (Window02)size_mm=545,354window_size=0.5,0.3625position=0BACKGROUND_COLOR=0,0,0VISIBLE=0ident=GPS_PANELgauge00=fs9gps!gps_295, 0,0As you can see the only difference in the gauge line is the choice of 295 or 500. Copy your panel.cfg file and save it with a different name if leaving in the same folder. Or better still put it in a new folder, then you don't need to change the name. Just change the number 295 to 500 and you should see the new GPS appear next time you load the plane. You can play around with other numbers in the GPS section, perhaps taking example of the sizes shown above to see what happens. You can change the size, shape and position the GPS appears in your main window by altering the sizes.
