I was just throwing out some old computer junk I accumulated over the years and came across a few old Floppies I had. I looked at them and saw planes I had downloaded for FS-5 back in 94. I remember that when FS-5 came out, It was a big leap from Previous versions, but a lot of people didn't like it because there was not much in terms of aircraft to download. FS-5 did not have any airliners and the only one available at the time was the one I found on my old floppies. An Alatalia DC9. I remember it looked real cartoonish by todays standards, but was the first plane available to download for the new version. Later, when BAO released the aircraft factory, there where many more available, but none of them had animated parts, if I recall. Landing gears simply disapeared when retracted etc.. I did most of my downloading from Compuserve forums since the internet was just starting to establish itself but not many knew what it was yet or how to use it. Then a guy named Brian Quale (I think it was) release a 737, that was truly amazing at the time. Later on, he also released a 727, DC-9 and 757. All where tops at the tame. I think his planes really raised the bar for everyone. Later on Project freeware appeared and released some real jems. Anyhow, it really made me look back at where this hobby has come in just the last 10 years.Anyone remember these?Rob
