August 3, 201213 yr Many years have passed since I goofed around with FSX. Put a new PC together and blew the dust off the FSX boxes. FSX loads fine and I can activate. I load the Accelerator pack and it won't active. It says in a nutshell, the program has reached it's install limit, activate by phone using ID code. After a decent amount of time on the phone with Microsoft, it was determined that the ID code that was retuned during the attempted activation was a code that pointed to Windows XP software. Not going well as I have a clean install of Windows 7 and never had anything else on this system. No way around this and the lady said it cannot be escalated as there is no FS technical support department any more. Had to load the Service packs and call it a day. My Acceleration pack is not going to work. That was $40 too. These are all licensed, legitimate, one owner copies, including Win 7. I guess I will be short a few planes or I would have to order a new copy of FS Gold and hope the activation gods are good to me.
