June 13, 200422 yr And how to add it to a panel!Check out Lee Hetherington's TCAS II 7.0 by installing it into an aircraft panel of your choosing. I did my best at making a little tutorial on how to do it here...http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...451&mesg_id=451Take a look and try it out if you want. ;-)Cheers,Jim
June 13, 200422 yr Hi Fred,Thanks! And congratulations on becoming the moderator of that forum. :DCheers,JimEDITED: Because I can't spell sometimes. :-doh
June 15, 200421 yr Hi Big Al,Yes. It is not integrated into a particular panel. I made the guide so that you install it as a separate window, [WindowXX], for any aircraft panel. So to display it you would press Shift+6, or Shitf+7 or whatever number is associated with the window. The window can be pulled in the 2D Panel or VC of whatever aircraft you decide to install it into. ;)Regards,Jim
June 16, 200421 yr Thanks for the reply! My question is how would I put this gauge in the default b747? I want to place it in the VC in the middle display that has nothing on it. Is this possible? Thanks again!
June 16, 200421 yr Hello Al,First, I would like to say I made a very slight clean-up of the gauge window. Here it is if you want to change it in any panel you have already added the gauge to...//--------------------------------------------------------(WindowXX)size_mm=228,248window_size_ratio=1.00position=2visible=0ident=10006window_pos= 0.80gauge00=ILH_TCAS!IVSI, 0, 0, 158, 158gauge01=ILH_TCAS!Transponder, 0, 159, 228, 89As far as adding it to the default B747. Let me see what I can come up with.Regards,Jim
June 16, 200421 yr Big Al,I'm not really certain if this can be done or not. Here is a screenshot of my B747 VC. Where is the blank area in the middle you're talking about? I've edited my Default B747 panel so it isn't totally stock. I don't know if any VC section was changed in mine that put the EICAS in the middle there, but if so I'd like to see your panel config file. Do you know how to post a file? If so could you please post your B747 panel.cfg file? I will have to wait until tomorrow to get back to looking at this.---------------------Here's a little tip. To make your gauges sharper in the VC open up your panel.cfg. Go to the (VCockpit01) section. Comment out the pixel_size=512,512 line by putting two forward slashes in front of it, like so...//pixel_size=512,512Underneath that line put in...pixel_size=1024,1024Do that for each (VCockpitXX) section. Doesn't matter whether it has pixel_size=512,512 or pixel_size=256,256, just replace them all with pixel_size=1024,1024 in the same manner, by first commenting out the original line and then putting in the new line. The reason I say to comment out the original line first before putting in the new one is because this my not work well with every single aircraft you do it to. Therefore, it makes it easy to back to the original by having the original line still in there. You would just get rid of the pixel_size=1024,1024 line you added and 'uncomment' the original one by removing the two slashes. This edit is known to work well with all the MSFS default aircrafts, or so I've heard. Here's an example of how my (VCockpit02) section looks after I did this edit to it.(VCockpit02)size_mm=256,256//pixel_size=256,256pixel_size=1024,1024texture=$777_2background_color=0,0,0gauge00=Boeing777-300!Comm 1, 0, 0, 127, 54gauge01=Boeing777-300!Comm 2, 0, 54, 127, 54gauge02=Boeing777-300!Nav 1, 0, 108, 127, 54gauge03=Boeing777-300!Nav 2, 0, 162, 127, 54gauge04=Boeing777-300!Transponder, 129, 0, 127, 49gauge05=Boeing777-300!ADF, 129, 49, 127, 54gauge06=Boeing777-300!Audio, 0, 216, 125, 26---------------------Cheers,Jim
June 17, 200421 yr thank you very much for the tips! I can't wait to try that out, I was having trouble with a few airplanes because I couldn't read the gauges when flying in the VC! Thanks a lot man!
