Strange weather effects

Featured Replies

Hello!Since several weeks I get these strange weather effects (fog) on the ground - just after takeoff and before landing (screenshot).Has anybody an idea what's going wrong here?Maybe it's an FSUIPC - problem? (I use FSUIPC 3.2.12)My system:P4 2,8 GHz1024 MB DDRAMGF FX 5900Nvidia 56.64Terratec 5.1 FunThank you for your help!Chrissy

Yes, I got the same, is that the default or AS2004, I think it has to do with Video card settings/drivers, Unfortunately I am not so good with that drivers Tweaking... look at my specs:Intel Pentium 4 HT 3.0 GhtzASUS 800 FSB1Gb RAM 3200Gforce 5900 256 MbAudigy ProI get very poor performance and visual glitches like that, I wish I was one of those "utimate Tweakers" you see around here, I'm sure something can be done to improve things in my machine

Thank you for your reply.I use the default online - weather, don't have Actvie Sky.Would be really fantastic if someone has the ultimative solution to avoid these ugly texture - rectangles. Thanks in advance,Chrissy

Have you downloaded any new textures recently? I had the same problem with some addon textures that my video card just did not like (I had to get rid of them to cure the problem).Otherwise, try resetting the FSUIPC module to default settings. The only other suggestion is to check your video card drivers/settings.RegardsColin

Thanx for your reply!I have no other textures than default textures but FSW cloud textures (because of better frames).I have changed "normal weather defaults" in FSUIPC but it didn't cure the problem.Who can tell me which options should I chose in the 56.64 driver menu?Thank you for further replies,Chrissy

Sorry I can't help you here. I have always had this effect when using real time weather in FS9. If I use my own weather themes this "fog" doesn't appear. I assume that it is just another of the "improvements" made to FS9, like the new transparent undercast.Mike
