Lonny Payne 757 Panel Questions

Featured Replies

I recently d/l-ed this, and have been trying to get it to work. I've been mostly successful, but I have 1 problem, plus a minor question. I know there have been a couple of earlier threads, but I haven't found them helpful, yet.Alright: the major problem is getting the flaps to deploy. Hydraulics are pressurized (saw that in an earlier thread), and I hear callouts when moving the flaps lever, but the flaps don't extend. I can also select alternate flaps control, and the dial moves, but, again, no extension of the flaps. I've tried changing the hydraulics settings on the OH panel, although as far as I can tell, they are set correctly already, but this doesn't help. Is this a cfg problem, or am I not doing something correctly?Minor question: Pitot heat switch. I can't find one. Does pitot heat activate automatically when the engines start?Any help will be appreciated.Alex M.

Alex,I have the same problem and I know why it does it, I just don't know how to fix it.I have found that when you turn off the HYD system, all HYD systems (flaps, spoilers) work as advertised. The flaps deploy and retract as normal as well as the spoilers. About 10 seconds after engaging the HYD systems, they freeze.I think the fix is in the Aircraft.cfg file under:[hydraulic_system]electric_pumps=1 <<

Hey there, Hawkeye!Wow! I didn't think I'd get any responses to my post after all this time. :-) I will try your cfg change.I e-mailed Lonny, and he replied that FS9 reads hydraulic leaks differently than 2K2 (you probably know the panel was designed for 2K2). He suggested the following start-up procedure: Battery = ON, APU = Start, after there is power turn on the hydraulic pumps, then start engines, etc...I tried this, and it only worked 1 time out of 20-30 attempts. I e-mailed Lonny again to let him know that the leak is still there. Flaps fail when "HYD AMT" drops below ~0.40.I'm seeing a couple of other issues, too, that seem unrelated to the hydraulic leak. Sometimes the radio doesn't work (no numbers in the display). I tried using a keyboard command for avionics... no joy. When this occurs, there are also ND display problems: no heading (it's blank) or magenta lines in any setting (map, etc.).I've been receiving e-mail correspondence from a fellow simmer in Brazil who has it working perfectly, and is trying to help. I don't know if he's running FS9 of 2K2. I will re-post if this leads to success. Thanks for your input. I would love to be able to use this panel.
