June 22, 200421 yr Hello!I use AI aircraft in my FS9 and FS2002 a lot and, of course, enjoy them. However, my prop planes take off and fly nice, but tend to bounce when touching the runway. This gives a ridiculous impression and is annoying.Does anyone know if this can be fixed (the aircraft cfg. file/air-file) ?Grateful for any help. Thanks!Hans HermanssonSWEDEN
June 22, 200421 yr Hello Hans,I'm not certain this can be fixed. I think it's just be the way FS handles AI Traffic. Because I think this bouncing behavior occurs even if the default MS aircrafts are used as AI.Most AI aircraft are given low fidelity/low complexity Flight Models (or flight dynamics). The reason for that is to save on the performance of the sim, allowing you to have much more AI aircraft than if they were given complex Flight Dynamics. If you try to fly an AI aircraft, unless perhaps it's a default MS aircraft, you will find that it's Flight Model is very poor, to the point of being 'unflyable'.I do not think that giving AI aircraft better flight dynamics by editing the .air or aircraft.cfg files will keep them from bouncing on landing. I could however be wrong and if anyone knows better please speak up!Regards,Jim
