June 25, 200421 yr In the file library, a 767-300 appears with the label "IFS Boeing 767-300ER EL-AL v1.4" and is listed as an "original" aircraft. But the readme indicates you have to extract the package to see what authors contributed. One pet peeve of mine are ppl uploading large packages to the library here as "original" aircraft, only to find that they are compilations of previously released aircraft, panels, repaints, etc--and it's often done without any work on the author's part other than creating a self extracting exe with work done from everyone but the author. So it leaves me a bit curious--has anyone downloaded this package? If so, what pieces are the work of the person who uploaded the package, and who are the authors involved. On dial-up, I hate investigating 20 meg packages that don't offer a clue as to what they really are.-John
June 25, 200421 yr It's a self-extracting installer. Luckily, this was listed at the beginning without having to install it.====================All rights and copyrights included in sub folder of each part of the installed aircraft, sound, panel.BOEING 767-300ER EL AL ProAircraft : IFDG. June 25, 200421 yr Ohh... Then it's more of a repaint/compilation vs. an "original" aircraft.... Still, if the author put the panel together himself and did the repaint, that's original--but I wish people would show the credits in the readme and package description vs. requiring a user to download. I think IFDG deserves at least that much credit for the model alone. To me "original" means original model, panel, paints, etc.... Anything else is just an update or a compilation of other authors' work with a few original bits added in. That's not to belittle such work, especially repainting and panel layout, which I stink at... But such uploads sometimes mislead us into thinking that new work is being released. -John
