Introducing the Flight Simmer's Knowledge Base

Featured Replies

The Flight Simmer's Knowledge Base (FSKB) aims at becoming a collaborative (Wiki-based) and comprehensive information database about flight simming, including related software and hardware, home cockpit building, online flying, system configuration and tuning, known bugs and their workarounds, ... It has just been launched and currently contains only a small set of short articles, but we hope that with the help of the flight simmer's community, this database will shortly grow in quantity as well as in quality. Why the FSKB ? Because although there are already several valuable community sites on the web, many useful information gets "lost" in news, forums, personal home-pages, and other non-durable places. This site aims to make all this knowledge grouped and organised durably, freely available and searchable. It will not provide any forum, news or addon library: it is meant to be complementary with other community sites. Thus, the FSKB is in no way a place for discussions, but when an interesting fact comes out from a forum thread somewhere, it may be useful for the community to contribute an article on the knowledge base. Also, no software review will take place in the knowledge base, but just short, factual, and objective articles that will point to other articles of the KB, to the official home page of the product, and to some reviews on sites such as AVSIM or SimFlight. In the same way as Wikipedia (http://www.wikipedia.org), FSKB is meant to be collaboratively developed using wiki software. This means that everyone can add or modify information on this site. Information contained in FSKB is subject to the GNU Free Documentation Licence (GFDL).It is available from http://www.fskb.net
