clouds

Hi all,i use ms 2002 and FWS clouds, having tried 2004 i like the cloud formation below you when say your up 20000 ft etc, is there a program that would give me the same in 2002 , thanks and regards :)

Jim,I think the question is if there's a way to show clouds in FS2002 the way they are shown in FS2004 when you are above 20,000.Even using FS Sky World, when you are flying high you don't see the clouds shapes when they are below you, and just see white "stains", or clouds that seem to be cirrus. We all know that in real life when flying at anything higher than FL300 you can still see the clouds below you.Leo

Switch to `simple` clouds.Allcott

I think I understand your question is whether you can get 3-d clouds in FS2002 after your rise a certain distance above them...There is a "Trick" you can use to get them, although it takes a bit of practice. You have to open another window in "top down" view, then zoom in (or out) in until your clouds pop back to 3-d view. After that's done, resize the window and slide it to an unseen corner of the display--I usually tuck it under the panel. As far as I know, this will only work with one layer of clouds. Also, since the draw range is so limited in FS2002, your aircraft will be surrounded by a circle of clouds, but they won't extend very far. Last, since this requires a second window to be open, your fps will suffer. But it is possible in FS2002 to have the clouds that way via this "trick"-John
