July 4, 200421 yr Wondering if this is an xp process or something I've downloaded. I signed on to games.com the other day--big mistake--and have been trying to get unwanted stuff off my computer ever since. Thought this might be part of that junk but wanted to check first, hehe. thx, billg
July 4, 200421 yr Nothing comes up on a google search. I'd run adaware/spybot and see if it finds it to be a problem. Also, just end the process and use the computer normally. If it doesn't seem to be something you need, then it probably is some crap that was installed that you don't want anyways :)
July 5, 200421 yr Hi everyone! I have the same question about RUNDLL32.EXE Lately I am having a problem when shutting the computer down.I get an error window saying "ending program-RUNDLL32.EXE-please wait" then it says program not responding and i have to click a couple of times to get rid of it before shutting down.It never did this before and its bugging me.I cant figure out what to do to get rid of it.I ran spybot and ad-aware ,no problems(well there was some problems, but not with that file).I looked at the task manager and noticed it was running as a process. When I click end process, the computer seemed to run ok and then shut down normally. Is it supposed to be running as a process? Thanks for any help... July 6, 200421 yr LOL, just ran ad aware and spy bot. One found 75 assorted registry entries and processes and the other found 35. This is from one site! This comp I've used strictly for FS9 and have only been to sites like avsim, flightsim, and the better known vendors and the like. No web surfing at all. Mess up once (yeah yeah, after one too many beers maybe) and go to a gaming site that that you have to download a client to use and you never know what you'll get. Well, I do now. A client, as well as 110 assorted registry entries and processes running on my computer. :-(billg
July 6, 200421 yr One good source of info on processes and services is the ATW (Answers That Work)Library.http://www.answersthatwork.com/library.htm
