July 4, 200421 yr The add-on utility is called Scenery Manager (SCM2004) by Hans Hartmann, a German I believe. He left no contact information in either his README.TXT or the program itself.Trying to contact him about this great little applet.thx
July 4, 200421 yr Hey Hans... like your Scenery Manager but tell me, is there any way to "re-sort" the scenery just to view it in say chronological order? Not to actually change the order or priority in the program. Would make it so much easier to find if scenery is active or not when you have several hundred loaded. (whew!)Also, why is the priority numbered exactly opposite that of what you see in FS2004?If you want to talk offline I can be reached at [email protected]
July 5, 200421 yr HiSorting the sceneries wouldn't be a wise idea since their order in scenery.cfg is very important. So it's better not to add a function that does that. The priority numbering is opposite from what you see in FS, that's right. However it's exactly like it is in scenery.cfg. It makes more sense to me if the scenery layer with the lowest priority also have the lowest layer numbers.Best regards,Hans
July 5, 200421 yr I guess you misunderstood my meaning. I do not wish to change the order at all in the scenery.cfg file, but only "look" at the sceney in different ways or views, such as Chronologically, alphabetically, what is active or non-active, etc. Perhaps by clicking on a column header. Does that make it clearer what I am trying to do?
July 5, 200421 yr Ah! Now I understand what you mean. I think it would be possible to do that. But not now since I'm very busy these days (see http://atr.flight1.net for the reason why). I will put that on my to-do list and will get it done when I have a bit spare time again.
July 5, 200421 yr Ahh, glad to see you understand what I am striving for. Yea, no rush at all... just thought it would be a useful feature. I take it your busy with the ATR beta test? Good luck with that.Any way to email [email protected]
