Problem with flying into certain areas

Featured Replies

I have been a simmer for a few years, recently upgraded to FS9, and I have something of a problem. Like many of us, I have added AFCADs and sceneries from various sources. My favorite area to fly is the Caribbean, and therein lies the problem. There are some particular areas that will not allow me to file an FP, or even view the field. If I enter one of them, for instance TNCC, it begins to load and then the screen goes back to my wallpaper. How do I search out the problem? The problems are all isolated in a particular area, southern caribbean and northern South america. How do I correct my problem? Any help will be appreciated.JC Martin

Temporarily remove all of your AfCad files to see if the problem is gone. An airport with a bad AfCad file can be hundreds of miles away from the area with the problem. Add them back one at a time, or if there are many, a few at a time and check for the fault again. By trial and error you will be able to locate the bad file. It can be fixed with the latest version of AfCad from Lee Swordy by using the error check function in the program.

Charlie,Thanks for the reply and the suggestion. I created a new file, put all of the afcad's from the Add on Scenery/scenery folder into it, deleted the ones in the FS9 folder, restarted FS9, and the problem still exists. Any other thoughts?Jim
