Canadian Ice Reconnaissance Dash 7

Featured Replies

Hello everyone. I recently downloaded the Canadian Ice Reconnaissance Dash 7 for FS 2004 (filename: dash7cir.zip). I followed all the installation procedures (relatively straight forward) and started up FS2004, however I was unable to find the aircraft in the aircraft menu :(. I'm new to flight simulator and was wondering whether anyone else has experienced similar problems, how they corrected this issue, and whether they can offer me any advice on how to fix my problem? Thank you in advance for your help.

For FS9, assuming you downloaded the Dash7CIR.zip, here is what it should look like for installation. If you unzipped using the folders option, you should see the following and this is how it should go.Folders:Dash7CIR ---- Top Level...Aircraft ----Next level (same level as the aircraft folder in FS9)......Dash7cr1 --- This is the folder you should have copied to the FS9/Aircraft folder...Effects ---- Contents of this folder gets copied to the FS9/Effects folder...Gauges ---- Contents of this folder gets copied to the FS9/Gauges folder.Easy way to determine what folder goes to the Aircraft folder is the folder which contains the Model, Panel, Sound, and Texture folders.Assuming you did these moves correctly, then the Dash7cr1 folder in the FS9/aircraft folder should have the above mentioned folders plus an aircraft.cfg file, and a dash7ice.air file as well as other misc. .txt files. In the Flight Simulator 9/Aircraft folder, your Dash 7 should look like this.Dash7cr1...Documentation...model.ice...panel...sound...texture.car...aircraft.cfg...dash7ice.air...other misc. filesI hope that this helps. If not, feel free to write to me at acdesign at flightsimonline dot com.Milton
