visibility layer 50 ft above ground level?

Featured Replies

Dear fellow simmers,

After a couple of years I have finally time again to get back into simming. It goes without saying that I am having a ball. I started out with fs9 for the moment updated to fs9.1. I added glacier bay v2 and am just enjoying the scenery with the default Cessna before starting to add all the other addons I have. Since I had an older version of Active Sky I decided to purchase ASE and it seems to work very well. However a problem came up. When sitting on the tarmac I can clearly see a visibility layer above my aircraft starting around 50ft above the ground. Also when I land I will have a certain visibility until 50 ft above ground, then I end up under this visiblity layer and everything under is comletely clear. Furthermore this layer cuts really ugly in the trees and surrounding mountain bases (see picture). I do not remember having this problem in my old fs9/Active Sky days. I have all the options in the visibility options screen of ASE ticked. I have an unregistered version of FSUIPC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Paolo
