FS9 freeze start

Featured Replies

I installed many SCENERY files (for instance : nl2000 v2.9)as usual in my Adddon Scenery folderI start FS2004 to install the sceneries in fs9 ( the usual procedure) ... BUT FS2004 doesn't want to open ..... I get the first INTRO Page with a pic with "A Century of Flight" ; then i see the box with the update of the scenery.cfg (ok until 100%) then I see the menu bar ....and FS 2004 is STUCK THERE ... !!!!!! It doesn't want to move forward ..... Reading posts in forum, i tried to remove fs9.cfg, to remove scenery.cfg, to remove manually in scenery.cfg any aera i've just installed ; i uninstall nl2000 v2.9. No result at allSo I wanted help .... if anyone knows how to fix this amazing issue.... without uninstalling FS2004 ...Thanks in advance - Jacky

Difficult to know the best thing to do - I think I would try renaming your MS Games/FS9 folder( EG Xmsgames) also the fs9. cfg and reinstall fs9 . Then copy from old to new any addon aircraft you may have installed. Then try adding and testing sceneries - one at a time until you find the culprit. If all else fails you still have the original fs9 available .Time consuming I know but probably worthwhile in the end.Dave

Thx DaveA lot of time consuming (18 Go for the dir) but it's running ok.Information : my issue came from a PAI file from Project AI.i don't know which its filename until i will reinstall them ten by ten.Jacky
