July 12, 200421 yr I have WinXP Pro and FS2004. I also have a Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro (the original gameport joystick). I
July 12, 200421 yr I use xp home and get what you see. Don't know what the Human Interface Device is, maybe MS has something up their sleeve, hehe. I get all that, but it stil works fine. Didn't even notice until I read your post. Be interesting to see what other simmers get.BTW, do you use Force Feedback? I've never used it before but have just started trying. I get the stick moving back and forth by itself, which is no big deal, I guess, except I use the hat to pan while I watch myself doing my uber stuff, hehe. Dosn't help when it's jerking around in my hand. Makes me feel like a teenager. If it's working for you mind sharing your settings? In any case, I don't think you have a serious problem, but I'm with you--what is it? :-)billg
July 13, 200421 yr Thanks, billg. I actually disabled force feedback right away as I didn't care for the exaggerated shaking and the advice was that it consumed excess system resources. Search the tips section and/or this forum for some advice that I know I've seen before on how to set the joystick force feedback sensitivies and reduce the amount of shaking. I'll keep searching for info about the Human Interface Device thing. Take care.rrk27
