Toshiba Laptop Graphics Problem in FS2004

Featured Replies

I am having a servere problem with FS2004.I have a Toshiba Satellite 1415 laptop. It comes with an NVIDIA GeForce 4 Go video card with 16 Mbs. When I use FS2004 with my laptop, the frame rate is absolutely HORRIBLE! I am getting max about 8 frames per second with all of the graphics options turned off or at thier minimum! When I turn them all the way up, I get 2 frames per second. Even with all the options turned up, the graphics look terrible. With FS2002, I can turn the options all the way up and I get 50 frames per second, and the graphics are great. I wanted to use FS2004 so I can look at the taxiway signs and fly the DC3, my favourite aircraft, but I am very dissapointed at the performance. What is so new in FS2004 that the frame rate goes to nothing? Why is it so slow with the options turned off? Any one else expereience this problem? I really appreciate any help with this. I don't want to have to return FS2004!

I have the same lap top anmost use it when n the road. (I spend two to three aweek out most out of the car. The laptop is a Toshiba p25-5607 with an added ram to = 1 gig. When out of the car (as stated most of the time I keep a ( set of ch peds, and yoke in the trunk, I know its a bad thing to admit, but I need to a "hommer here",The only upgrad made to the Toshiba, was the RAM (now at 1 gig, ((I hope I am stating all the correct way)) I can also add the frame rates are good, this includes a second, Mitsubishi, 18 flat panel in the trunk, (Please don't tell the boss, LOL).I dont have any real problems, as I see. If I can offer any help (assuming I have the sorrect laptop model, LOL. I will help as best as I can. I have done nothibg more that the REM upgrade. i did order direct from Toshiba. Please dont mind to ask any questions, as the people here have gone out of there way to help me.Mark.
